What sort of clothing does the deceased need?

Whatever the family choose, or what they think the deceased would have been comfortable wearing. Why dress someone in a suit and tie when they hated every minute of the 40 years they were forced to wear one? When I ask a family for clothing, I ask for a “full set of clothing” including underwear. It is important that nothing is forgotten, whether it be stockings or knee-his or for some,  the omnipresent handkerchief in the pocket. Sometimes people will ask is a nightie or pyjamas OK and I say yes, but how long has it been since they saw that person dressed? Dressing a person, doing their hair and applying a little bit of make-up gives that person their dignity back.
